Beth Surya is a graduate student at the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education, she taught gifted and talented adolescents from 2012 to 2017. After being admitted to the CMHC program, she furthered her concentration and developed a special interest in the Sandtray and Play Therapy.
She enjoys working one-on-one with clients and also has experience working with families. She strives to provide a collaborative and safe environment for individuals hoping to manage stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and other behaviors related to trauma.
Beth uses a caring, client-centered approach to create a sincere and supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable and thrive. Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT). Her sessions are collaborative and insightful, which allow her clients to understand their progress and ultimately learn healthy coping skills.
