Kathryn Schlick- CPC Student Therapist

Kat is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Capella University and is completing her clinical training at Red Rock Counseling. She works primarily with adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, burnout, grief, identity development, self-worth concerns, and perfectionism.

Kat is especially interested in supporting thoughtful, capable individuals who often appear to be managing life well on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or uncertain. She believes therapy can offer a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with what matters most.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply relational. Drawing from person-centered therapy, attachment theory, family systems concepts, somatic awareness, and wellness-based approaches, Kat helps clients explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped their lives while cultivating greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

Prior to entering the counseling profession, Kat spent many years working closely with individuals as both a financial advisor and personal trainer. Through this work, she witnessed firsthand how life transitions, relationships, self-worth, stress, and emotional well-being influence every aspect of a person’s life. These experiences continue to inform her holistic and strengths-based approach to therapy.

As a developing therapist, Kat values curiosity, authenticity, and genuine human connection. She strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward lives that feel more meaningful, aligned, and fulfilling.

Kat believes people do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy and welcomes individuals seeking support, self-discovery, personal growth, or meaningful change.
