Amanda Carnero- CPC Student Therapist

Hi, I'm Amanda! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Grand Canyon University. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself and feel comfortable exploring what brings you to counseling. I value authenticity, honesty, and collaboration, with each client's individual needs guiding the counseling process. Your story, strengths, and experiences matter in the work we do, and together we'll work to better understand the experiences that have shaped your life, build on your strengths, and develop the skills to help you move toward your goals.

I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families seeking support with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life changes, or personal growth. I find it especially rewarding to help people better understand themselves, communicate more openly, and build stronger relationships.

Helping others has always been a guiding force in my life. My path to counseling began in healthcare, where I spent 19 years as part of a healthcare team. While I valued that experience, I realized I wanted to make a more personal impact in people's lives. That desire led me to pursue counseling. Although my role has changed, my passion for supporting others remains at the core of who I am, and it would be my privilege to support you on your journey.
